Located in Niantic, Connecticut, Waxwing End is offered to the vacationer as comfortable and affordable lodging. Built as a vacation cottage in 1955, and named for the yard plantings (chosen with the Cedar Waxwing in mind), Waxwing End has been updated and winterized over the decades. The result is a cozy vacation home where parties of six are comfortably accommodated. With Waxwing being a member of the Giants Neck Heights Beach Association, association amenities make a guest's stay all that more fulfilling. Two blocks from Waxwing End are a sizable playground, fully equipped for small children, plus a tennis court and a full-sized basketball court. Farther down the hill, past the playground, lies a boat launch where small craft can be put into Long Island Sound. And, naturally, the neighborhood beach and state beach, Rocky Neck State Park Beach, are both situated within easy walking distance from the cottage. Waxwing End comes with a fully equipped kitchen and, in the living room, satellite (basic) TV is provided along with a DVD/VCR player.
